I purchased this a few weeks back at an antique store.. I really like it but have no idea what I should use it for. Not really convenient for paint brushes.. any ideas, besides just looking pretty?

  1. not sure what size it is, but you could use it for cotton balls in the bathroom. It is very pretty!

  3. So adorable. It reminds me of a summer twighlight backdrop.

Rhinestones? Buttons? Bits of jewelry that you want to recycle for crafting?

  5. Caitlin, it's so strange, but I used to have the exact same container!!!

I bought it at a thrift store in Tulsa, and used it for cotton balls in my mint-y bathroom. Sadly, it eventually wound up in a million pieces on the tile floor, as everything breakable in my bathroom eventually does.... (Still looks cute, though! Hope you enjoy yours!)

  7. haha yeah i think one of the reasons that i can't decide what to use it for, is that i'm afraid of breaking it! ..it's kinda too big for cotton balls, but not tall enough for the kitchen/pastas either haha. maybe something i use for projects, like adorned said...something i don't use all that often but need to store..

tara that is so funny that you had it too! when i first saw it i questioned if it was actually vintage, it just looked so fresh and in such good condition!

  8. Perhaps: cotton balls, rubber bands, tea bags, treats for you or a pet, q-tips, buttons, thread, pins, ribbon, change, pretty rocks, or some catnip!

  9. Cotton balls was the first thing I thought of. The white would show off the beautiful design.

  10. Hey! I have the exact same one, too! It's so pretty but I have no idea, either, what to do with it, so it kind of just sits on a shelf in its own splendor.

Does everything have to have a purpose aside from that which is inherent in its own being?

  11. haha believe me, i'm the queen of buying things with no purpose in mind!
so far i'm enjoying it empty haha
