DSCN3031DSCN3027

I have a turban. These photos are nuts. Also I've found out recently that I have a small head. Or maybe it's just narrow..I dunno but it's a bit annoying. So I'm still mastering the fit of it. ..And I suppose turbans have become a bit trendy..or maybe that's passed..I've been seeing them for like 4 years in fashion magazines I guess..but anyway, i like mine. It's easy to wear and I've always wanted one, just like ladies way back when would wear. I got mine (see it even says 1940s style) on Etsy from A Common Thread. I think she is sold out for now..maybe you can contact her if you wish for one.

  1. Wow! It looks so great on you! I think I'm going to get one for myself, or try making one!

I love all the things on your wall, too. And your Christmas wonderland! Oh, I need you to come and decorate my apartment.

  3. Aw, thanks! I came to this post to see if I could see your cuckoo clock, to see if it was in one of these pictures. I do love my blue clock. I don't have a battery in it since they seem to burn out so quickly! But yeah, the clock was a housewarming present from a friend and it is pretty dear to me. Yours sounds so sweet!

  4. Aaah, I love your turban, almost as much as I love your vintage-crocheted lampshades...
Don't be annoyed you have a "small" head, I have a big one and I've found out it makes it impossible to buy vintage hats. And I think it's just that the heads differ in size up on top... :-(-
Anyway, in Japan it's a compliment to say "oh, you have such a small head". So be proud instead :-) (and be proud of your work, it's wonderful)!

  5. Hello Karin!
hahah that was such a sweet comment! :)
I think vintage hats can be just plain tricky in general! And I wasn't aware of this idea of a small head in Japan! haha
Thank you so much for stopping by.
