Have you seen The Red Balloon? It's available right now free "on demand" through Comcast cable if you use that for your television. This is a favorite of mine..I remember when my brother and I first watched it..I was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade and my Mom checked it out at the library. There is a movie out now, The Voyage of the Red Balloon, that references and expands upon the original..not sure how it is..haven't tried to see it as of yet. Have any of you?
i saw it on my plane ride back from paris, of all places. it's wonderful, a perfect homage to the original film that inspired it!
