On top of the Hancock tower

Over last weekend I went with James to see the Olafur Eliasson exhibit at the MCA. We were aiming to head to the new modern wing at the Art Institute, but didn't feel we had enough time for that..so instead we opted for sticking to one exhibit (thanks to Sarah for the reminder the other week). It was very good. I really suggest heading out for it.

Afterward we quite randomly decided to take a trip to the top of the Hancock building. I suppose if you live in Chicago, that's something you have to do on a whim (unless you have visitors in town). It was a PERFECT day for it. I really enjoy seeing all the details in such large structures...all the people and cars going by..and looking out over Lake Michigan.
It was a nice afternoon.

  1. I can't believe how BLUE that water is! Great pictures. I'm still getting over how big the lakes are out here, haha - where I'm from they're like puddles in comparison! I haven't been in a really tall building in ages - next time I'm downtown, I need to change that!

yeah totally..i wish it were closer to summer when we were up because some of the pools weren't even filled yet. i feel like a lot of them aren't used as often as i think they should be haha.
